Options for CPU & GPU rendering

When I start to render, I have to wait a while and check history of rendering to see, what type of rendering has been apply.

Because CPU rendering for iRay take too long and I have GPU for it, I do not want to render it on CPU!

But even if I disable CPU for rendering and scene doesn´t fit to VRAM, it goes to CPU rendering.

Please allow to us set mode we want and if it can´t be done, show popup, which tells us, how much VRAM we should have for scene and do not continue with CPU!

When scene doesn´t fit to VRAM, I use Scene Optimizer, so I am always able to render it with GPU, all I have to do is find correct settings for Scene Optimizer.

I would be nice to have some Scene Optimizer inbuild in DAZ3D, becuase I believe, that all users with GPU wants use it as it is much faster.

  • I'm not sure this is something DAZ can do; a lot of this is internal to the render engine and may not be exposed for control in an application that uses it.

This (soem kind of warning before the RAM is used and blocked) is a frequent request - there's aeven a longish thread on it from relatively recently - but as daywalker03 notes it seems likely it is something that would require a change in Iray, not DS.
