I only ask cus you guys announced this 4.5.1.56 version. So I'm a bit confused.

The numbers after the last point aren't individual, they're a single number, "point fifty-six", and .56 is (so far) the latest version. Reset DAZ|Studio from your Itemised Order History to get the new files put into your downloads.
OK THANKS!
I guess you were not the only one.
If someone is up for an experiment
Take a piece of paper and write those two numbers on it:
Step I
4.5.1.6
4.5.1.56
go out on the street and ask people two questions:
- Which is the higher number?
- If the numbers are standing for software releases which one do you think was the latest?
Step Two
Show them an additional card with those three numbers:
4.5.1.6
4.5.1.56
4.5.1.06
now ask the questions of step one again.

It would be interesting to analyse the results based on demographics, education, experience with other software etc.

Often when faced with choices if more information was available the choices made would have been different.
Logic is based on rules, customs and expectations.
The question is this case is:
How many people expect numbers behind dots to be decimals and not absolute values?

In the end it is up to the companies to deceide which systems they want to use.
The uninformed customer may remain confused until informed otherwise.
It confused the heck out of me as well, and I asked this same question earlier in the month. I just tend to read everything after a decimal point as floats rather than integers.
Glad to know I wasn't the ONLY one
