The Troll by Daz

I wish that there would be special pricing for the Troll for Genesis (see http://www.daz3d.com/troll-for-genesis) for people who have purchased the original Troll (see http://www.daz3d.com/troll) for Daz Studio 4.5 Pro or Poser. I have started using Daz Studio 4.5 Pro and love the whole idea of the flexibility of Genesis models, but, hate to spend money on models when I already have the same product but in a different format.

The new DSON Importer for Poser 9 is fine, however, I don't own Poser 9 and have no intention of buying it... unless they give it away for free! I was so annoyed with the changes that I had discovered in Poser 8 after I had purchased it on sale that I have continued to use Poser 7. This annoyance with Poser 8 also motivated me to put aside some time to learn Daz Studio Pro 4.5 and because it is so user-friendly, I was able to create an animation within an hour of installation!

How about giving customers a reduced price for models when the customer has purchased one version and then, wishes to purchase the other version of the same product. Currently, both versions cost the same amount.

Perhaps this could be presented as another motivator for people to become Platinum Club members. Daz could charge full-price for the first version of an identical product and 1/2 price for the 2nd version.

Here's hoping that someone at DAZ will be reading this suggestion and give it consideration.

    The original Troll was a stand alone figure which was released at least 6 years ago, maybe more, Sometimes when there is an update to a figure, there is a special discount for previous owners, but not after such a lapse of time.

    If you want an answer from DAZ 3D themselves, you will have to use the Help > Contact Us link at the top of the page, they seldom read the forums.

    I agree in principal with what you want too :)

    One of the main reasons that I was taken by Genesis, was that it is able to use V4, M4 and K4 clothing out of the box. Since I had a oot of these, I was delighted. The fact that it can also use the skin maps for these figures was another plus point.

    I hate the thought of buying things twice too, and there were some hot threads about this on the forum a few years ago.
