What's with the Coupon box?

I keep getting this pop-up in the lower right of my browser that says COUPONS Daz3d.com

It's good for free stuff, like a free link to DAZ3D.COM and DAZ Studio 4.5 FREE!

What's up with that? I think I know how to find daz3d.com. And, I'm pretty sure that DAZ Studio Pro 4.5 is already free, not to mention that I already have it.

It has a little Disable button at it's bottom left corner, but it doesn't work. If you switch to a new page, the thing is right back up with completely useless stuff for anyone who already knows its here.

Its got a little "x" in the upper left corner (classic close button) but it don't work either.

Its by WizeShoppy (not to wize).

Anybody else getting this thing? And if so, Do you know how to get rid of it?

Is this DAZ or a third party intruder?

I haven't seen anything like you describe so I suspect it might be a third party intruder

Hmmm... Thanks. I'll have to delete another browser. I'm running out of non-annoying browsers.

It might not be the browser, though you could certainly try disabling pop-ups first to see if that alleviates the problem.

The other thing you might want to do is scan your hard drive for any viruses or malware.

Yes, it looks like you have visited some site that has snuck a nasty little script or adware thingummy onto your computer while you weren't looking. Not a browser thing at all. Try installing something like ad-aware or spybot or malwarebytes to supplement your Anti virus.

I also recommend using Firefox with the AdBlockPlus and NoScript plugins - I think they are also available for Chrome, but I'm not sure that Chrome allows them to be as effective.

I agree with chohole... It's an adware. Try check userscripts i you are on chrome. or greasemonkey on ff. IE should not have problems.

This sounds like one of those Superfish price comparison add-ons that get "bundled" with browser add-ons. It was associated with IETab add-on for FireFox at one time and Fox Lingo as well.

you can google on how to remove it.

Well, I got it this morning.

It popped up and was advertising DAZ stuff. Which is why I came here.

Before I closed the laptop last night, I did an AVG scan and a Malware Bytes scan which came up clean.

I'm using Waterfox and I do have pop ups blocked.

thanks rodr0069! I had found that come up first on a google search. :D

What's weird is that I've had that "view in IE" for ages, and this morning was the first time I'd seen the pop up.

If you still need the IE View, the I.E. View Lite 1.3.5 works without the wizeshoppy.
