Problems with Active Pose?

I have noticed the past few months that I can't get the active pose to work in Daz...any version of Daz. When my son's computer was working and I got the Daz 4.5, I tried using the active pose and it wouldn't work. I thought maybe I had to have puppeteer or power pose active to use it and that didn't work either. I searched through preferences in case it was something I needed to tick, but it wasn't there. Now that I am using older versions of Daz on an older computer, I noticed the same thing happening and I know it worked in these older versions before, I used it all the time. Currently I am using version 2.3. something or other and I went through all the tabs and whatnot on the program to try and find a way to get it to work and nothing.

Does anyone know what I might be doing wrong and how to fix this problem?

You should maybe add DS2.3 to the title?

I doubt if many people still use it, I only have DS3 and DS4.5 on my system, so I can't help at all.

Is there a way to reset Preferences in DS2 to factory defaults, that mya be an answer?

I have reset Daz and that hasn't worked either. The problem is with Active Pose itself and the reason I didn't mention the version in the title is because this is happening with every version I have used in the past two years, I am just currently using 2.3. It's not that it stopped working after using, it never worked from the moment I installed the program and that includes the latest version. I have installed four different versions the past few months and this is happening with all of them. When I look at the tabs up top, the Active Pose button is grayed out, I can click on it, but nothing happens and I can't use it with the models. I like the idea of clicking on a part and moving it without having to go to parameters and spinning dials to get what I want.

So in every version you've installed on this computer, Active Pose never worked? What OS, and where are they installed?

The first time I had the problem, it was on my son's computer, which is a Quad Core gaming computer and it happened no matter what program or model I used. He had Vista installed but it's currently not working, the graphics card died, so working towards getting a better computer. More recently, until I can get a new computer, it's on the P4 with XP Pro and it's with V4 as I can not use anything higher then 2.3 on here. I did have three previous versions on this older computer and the same thing happened with all of them and of course with V4.

Oops forgot to add everything is installed the CDrive in program files, like the old days, so no My Library on here.
