Hello,

I already searched the forum.
My issue is, that I can not put the Install Manager to the Taskbar.
Is there a way I can do?

Thanks in advance,
Eddy

Possibly as, in order to change files, it needs to run as admin. Certainly I am not seeing any of the usual routes to pin it to the Taskbar.

Windows doesn't allow any shortcuts which contain "Install" (or other specific [case insensitive] words... such as "Documentation", "Help", "More Info", "Readme", "Read me", "Read First", "Setup", "Support", "What's New" or "Remove") in the path (folders or filename) to be pinned to the taskbar. Rename the shortcut to "DAZ3DIM" and Windows should allow you to pin it.

The registry key* that controls which words cannot exist in a path of anything you want to pin to the taskbar is located at:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileAssociation\AddRemoveNames

*Editing the registry has the potential to cause serious problems if you don't know what you are doing. If this applies to you, you should stick with renaming the shortcut.

That was the information I needed!

So I renamed the Program Link on the desktop to 'DIM' and I was able to pin it ti the Taskbar.
Than I renamed the Program Link on the desktop back to its old name.
Et voilá - it works fine

    Thumbs up, rbtwhiz!
