Quest for free video downloader...

It appears I'll have no choice but to suffer through video tutorials if I want to learn DAZ et al. I need a link to a bona fide, freeware software that will let me download the video tuts to my machine for later viewing. Any suggestions?

Moved to the Commons as it's a request for, not an offer of, a freebie.

RealPlayer (which is free) also allows you to save clips with a simple click which I've found very handy :)

As far as Daz's videos go, if you use Firefox, just install the Download Helper extension: http://www.downloadhelper.net/ That'll work with any of Daz's tuts.

If you have Firefox and you want to download Youtube videos, get the GreeseMonkey addon and then get the Youtube Center Script for GreeseMonkey as it will add a lot of additional options to Youtube for you including downloading (without having to play the video)

    Downloadhelper is also recommended

I have IE8. Firefox gives me pains... I may even have real player, but I'll have to look and probably install it. My apology Mr. Haseltine. I'm still learning about y'all.

I use atube Catcher. It's free and will convert to almostr anything. It also will download from a que after pasting a url from clipboard. You can also burn a DVD from it.

Many times I want a higher resolution video to see all of the screen details.

Paste a youtube link into http://www.keepvid.com/ and it will generate download links to the video in multiple resolutions and video formats.

I did download YTD. It won't work with the DAZ Studio pages.

Not to worry. I found my copy of Real Player, dragged it to the desktop and Voila! We're in business.

Thanks to all of you for so many good suggestions.
