General autofit/Transfer Utility question

When a gen4 clothing item exists in both M4 and V4 versions, and you want to transfer it to Genesis. Which base is the better one to use?
In this case, the item is likely to be used on Young Teens, so the problem of dealing with a lot of bosom isn't likely to occur. But that isn't to say that once I've got it transfered it won't be used on adult female figures. Or, for that matter, one of the Freaks.
So as a general rule of thumb. Would it be better to buy the M4 or the V4 version, since I don't really see that I ought to need to work from both.

If there really is a difference in the mesh (I know, most things don't show it...the templates, if they are available would), then I'd probably go for the V4 version, as it would be more likely to have the extra polys and UV mapping to hand the chest morphs...
I would have said go for the M4 version as it's less likely to throw odd folds from flattening the breasts.
I guess if you are going 'flat' mostly, then M4.
But most of the stuff that comes in an M4/V4 version doesn't really have that many differences in the base mesh, it's more what morphs are included.
Yeah, I rather expected that the base mesh wasn't that different. Thanks.
If there are templates for it then check them...if there's one set of templates covering both items, then it probably doesn't matter.
My experience has also been that generally m4 or other male items convert for Genesis better, even when being used on female characters. This has been especially true when using transfer utility, for the exact reason listed above - for some reason the v4 breast shape does not translate well with autofit or transfer utility, but they do okay with fitting a flatter mesh over breast shapes.
I've had more luck converting female items using the Sickle Rigging and Morphing System.
