How to reduce Rendering Time with Toon Shading

I am using PWTOON and Visual Shader. I mix them in characters. I do not use high res texture. So practically I do not need extremely high quality rendering. I mostly need nice warm Flat colours with shadow. Since DAZ does not have real time rendering, how to REDUCE the rendering time ? I am using the Default renderer, not the Toon renderer. What are the parameter I must avoid to increase the Rendering Speed ?

Shading Rate would be the one I would look at first.

It is set at 1.0 by default, since you are using flat colours, you may get away with a much higher one, like 4.0 or even more.

Thanks. It made a difference. Any other parameter I must look into ?

You could look at the Max Raytrace Depth, and it may not need to be higher than 1.0, but it may not make much difference. I don;t know if turning down the Shadow Samples will help for Toon renders or not.

I am sure someone else will be able to tell you more, so just hang on a little while.

Now here's something that could only shave a couple of seconds, but it's not thought about much...bucket size.

Make sure that your render dimensions and bucket size match. In other words, don't have partial buckets on the last strip...the renderer is still calculating things based on the full bucket. It only saves a couple of seconds, but if you are shooting for the fastest renders possible...
