where is my hair?

Hopefully this is simple to answer for you guys as I am pretty new.

I just bough hair on content marketplace (beach hair)
Beach Hair - exe - pc

Run the exe and pointed to my DAZ directory to install. I can see the .jpg files under
C:\Program Files\DAZ\Studio\Content\Runtime\Textures\Michelle\BeachHair

I also installed it under
C:\Users\Paul\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library\Runtime\Textures

But when I start DAZ I do not see Beach hair under files or products, just hair that DAZ originally came with (Aldora, SallyMae, Duke and Wildmane).

Is there something else I need to do to see it?

Thanks for your help in advance, I am losing my real hair over this :)

    Is it this one http://www.daz3d.com/beach-hair

This is Prop hair (HR2) in Poser format, and it should be installed into the same folder that you install everything else to, and definitely NOT in Program Files

According to what you have posted, the path you should have given to the installer is C:\Users\Paul\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library , making sure that the Path ends with My Library.

You will then find the content in the Content Library > Poser Formats > My Library > Hair, and any textures for it will be in the same place in the Pose folder.

OK, I installed there. When I open DAZ Studio I still do not see any new hair under Hair in Smart Content. How do I get to this Content Library? Is this a menu in DAZ? What is Poser anyways? I just have DAZ.

Hi,, as Jimmy said,, you have installed your hair, in daz content directory.

You can use same directory for poser contents.

at first,, you may need to set the directory as poser directoy,
in content library.(If you have not setted it yet,,)
So that ds can show you items in the directory.

if your CMS has not setted path of Poser Formats directory,
you need to set directory in content library.

Go to content library (if there are not tab,, top menu>window> tabs>
    then check on "content library"

then in content library folda view,,
select the Poser Formats folda icon. right click >Add a runtime directory.

then set directory eg "C:\Users\Paul\Documents\DAZ 3D\Studio\My Library" (if it is your ds content directory,,)
(it is same as daz studio formats directory.

ds show you,, only poser contents under poser Formats section, in content library.
if you select DAZ studio Formats,, ds show you ds contents under the directory.)

then,, if you still have problem,, can you show some pic which can tell other user,
how you manage your content library.

about Smart Content,, the product which you have bought in daz shop,
have meta-data to show items in Smart contents.
(but there are still many items which have not meta-data)

make meta-data is not so difficult, but it sometimes trouble when you update - products,
so I do not recommend you make new meta-data, untill you gradulaly understand about CMS.
