Blur variation using f-stop in camera?

Is there a way to set the blur technique when using DOF and f-stop? I'm not really a fan of the grainy out of focus areas? Yes I can get it perfect by creating a Z-map alpha and doing it in photoshop but sometimes I am lazy and want to do it all in Daz...Can this be corrected?

You may need to adjust your render settings - in particular the number of samples.

There's a great thread in the old forums found here -> http://forumarchive.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=144303 <- that has a lot of discussion from various people on what all the settings on the advanced render tab do. It's worth a read and it covers some suggested values for DoF, etc.</p>
