Would be nice if Daz offered some kind of incentive (store credit) for bug reporting

After posting this as part of another post:
Being a new user, it gets frustrating trying to focus and learn to create with DAZ Studio and not know if it is something you are doing wrong or have not learned yet or an actual issue with the content.

I wanted to just vent this out here:

Starting off, I have bought a lot of content from DAZ already ( the money adds up quick:)).
Go to try out some of the items you bought, and not have something work right.
Again not knowing if it's you, or the actual content.

I myself would sometimes fix some content (tips from the forum), bad file paths etc and just move one.
Recently just started to put in bug reports, to help other out so that content could be correct for them.
Thinking, how did this even make it past QA?
Just a simple install and you should of been able to see there was an issue.

Knowing that not all scenarios could possible be accounted for until content is used by the users.
Seeing that bug reports have not been made, or even bug reports reported months still not fixed..

A big Thank you to the forums, and lots of helpful people that deserve credit for finding solutions to some of the issues that get past QA.

please list the following so we can better help you figure things out:

    Operating System - 32bit or 64bit

    What version of DAZ Studio

Content you are using that you are having issues with

You can post screen shots (up to 5 images per post) to help explain things and show the issues if need be.

And therein lies the main issue with this is people reporting perceived issues that myself or others never experience, which usually comes down to how you use the software and content. I have been here for quite awhile, have purchased lots of content and never had a reason to post a bug report.

Paying people to file bug reports at DAZ would be like a bank giving a two-for-one reward on the money you withdraw. 8-o

As stated, lots of issues (real issues not perceived) with different content that has been bought not free (again as stated).

I would not submit bug fixes at first, just fix the issues and be OK with it.
Then when I started using the DIM and reinstalled some of the content I had fixed, reminded me of the ones that were bad.
Started doing bug reports, so others would not have to deal with it.

But started wonder how did these installers get through Quality Assurance, bad files paths, missing content, missing icons etc.
These are simple things, someone just installing and trying to use content would noticed right away.

This was not to start an argument, but to give thanks for the forums/users here helping each other out.
Others that have been able to go through code in files (which is not there job, but them being helpful) and find what line was wrong or supply fixes for what was causing the issue with content.

I just wanted to say some of the people here, have gone above what they had to and been very helpful with their time to provide help and fixes.

I read where some people have trouble with almost all the content and where some people have trouble with none of the content.

I think those that are having trouble with a lot of the content are more than likely frustrated with DAZ for several reasons, one of which is not understanding how some items with Smart Content gets released to the public when it obviously was not ready.

I think those who find no fault with any of the content either purchase very little or are not utilizing Smart Content.

I have installed content that was supposed to have Smart Content, but did not. But the percentages are small, probably less than 5% for me.

I feel you have to allow for mistakes because they are going to be made, but it can be frustrating when it is pretty obvious it should not have been ready for sale as packaged.

With all the problems that DAZ has had over the past 10 months with the site, there was more than likely a greater chance that mistakes were to be made. To me DAZ seems to be on the ball trying to correct those mistakes and I for one certainly appreciate that.

Just my input. Not trying to step on anyone's toes.
