Kyla and her lovely PJs... need some TLC

Firstly, I'd like to thank Rarestone for releasing Kyla and her lovely PJs. A figure and an outfit for the price of a figure alone, very nice.

However, I do think this package needs a little polishing or Tender Loving Care:

The character appears under Figures:People:Male.  Really? Hey DAZ... QC? (see first image)

The PJs have three settings for trans (presumably "transparency"); 65%, 80% and 90%. Unfortunately they work in reverse; 90% TRANS means 90% Opacity not 90% Transparency. Not a big deal, but... QC?? (see second image)

Where the package is really lacking is that there are no morphs for the PJs (see third image). The PJs are really cool, with very pretty frills and bows (which by the way, autofit screws up when fitting to any really slender and smaller breasted figures...G3 is not an average womans figure). However the PJs are rarely going to be used in a T-pose, so some adjustment and movement morphs are really necessary, especially as DAZ Studio has very little in the way of on the fly morphing.

So please, Rarestone, or someone else, please release a morphs package for the PJs.

  • The first should definitely be reported as a bug (by opening a Technical Suport ticket), and while you are at it you can suggest relabelling the opacity presets. The lack of morphs, while sad, isn't a bug - the product page doesn't claim that there are morphs - so that would be more a feature request.

I would also like to see some morphs for the PJs, and I agree this is an awesome package. I like how the brows are a separate prop, the PJs, and the character.

Feel free to report this bug. I'm pretty fed up with the Help Desk at the moment and the lack of actual help, so that's why I'm asking the community for their comments and suggestions.

  • I don't have the set so I can't report the issue.

Did you look in the Parameters pane for morphs?

  • Unfortunately, a lot of vendors (here and at other sites) let Autofit/Auto-follow handle things, even though they really should take the time to make proper fit morphs and JCMs for the clothing items they make. The best course of action there is to return the item and say you won't buy from the vendor until they start including such things.

I have been using Fit Control with them...works great.  I'm really like both the character and the PJs.  Some included morphs would have been nice.  And, panties or shorts to go with the PJs would have been good to include.  That said, both the character and PJs are really nicely done.

Both Shaping and Parameters, with ALL selected.

You have a point... maybe that is the only way to get the message across to DAZ; loss of sales, plus costs involved in refunding. I'd much rather DAZ made it clear in the advertising if there are no, or very limited, morphs on an item, then I could choose not to buy in advance. However, there is an old business trick which works; selling cheap goods which are below standard and refunding those who take the effort to complain can be more profitable than taking the effort and spending the money on good QC. I hope this is not a path DAZ is going to take. Companies who do go down this road lose reputation quickly. I'm pretty sure DAZ values its good rep.
