So I upgraded to DAZ 3D 4.5 and everything broke

So at the advice of Tech Support, I downloaded and installed Daz 4.5 to upgrade from 4.0.
Low and behold, everything broke; m,y old models won't load, I'm missing things from my library entirely,
And those that I can find in the Download manger will not install, they always come up "Install Failed."
I finally got 4.5 to install, (With a corrupt Uninstaller), but it's devoid of content.

Any advice?

    You need to install Genesis Starter Essentials

    It will not install, manually or with the install manager. :(

    What happens when you try to install it?

    From the DAZ installer, it downloads, then flips to Install Failed.
    Manually it gets to the installation progress bar, hangs up, then crashes.

    It sounds like your download is corrupt. Try deleting the Starter Essentials file and downloading again.
