Redefining Surface Regions Question

So I under took a project...  https://www.daz3d.com/gallery/#images/412151/

I took the old GIS Orion set and redefined the Surface regions using the geometry editor tool...  In the process I ended up with a number of unused surfaces defined. Is there any way to delete these entries?

Delete what exactly? Unused geometry? If that is what you are asking, the answer is yes, but not within DAZ Studio. You will need to do that in a modelling program. Warning: make sure you make such changes on a copy of the model(s), not the original, in case anything goes south.

No, not geometry. The entries for the previously used surface regions:

The surface regions highlighted above no longer correspond to anything in the models. The entries hang around, but affect nothing in the scene.

I set the surface shader to emmissive and put the luminance rediculously high to see if there were any little bits of geometry glowing. I also used the geometry editor to "select by surface," picked each one, and set the geometry visiblity to hide everything that was unselected. So I am 99% sure these entries are orphans.

I am trying to figure out if there is a way I can remove the entries?

I know you re-assgin geometry of product right?  then you should got un-used surface group.

so you may just need to  select>r-click ,then remove empty group in geometry editor.   it not work ?

Only thing I am afraid from your pic, the scene prop(or figure)  seems poser type figure,cr2?  then save as subset?  (from the icon which I can see)?

I may try save as scene subset or scene first, to keep modified surface group I think. but I feel, if I can not save new preset for the saved sub-set (which modified new group)

untill you save the scene prop, as new figure or prop,,, then if it is poser type rigged figure(prop), you may need to change rig as daz weight map. to save as new figure.

(then,,,  I usually just avoid, those poser type contents to use my project in daz studio, if I use it  I try to convert as dson type rig prop first. (though some item is actually difficulut to convert,,)
