Upgrading from 4.9 Public Beta Questions

So I want to fully convert to the general release of 4.9. Currently I have 4.8 and 4.9 running but I I'm having issues with getting to files between the two. I know I have to do some backing up. From which version should I export the metadata? I want to make sure once I install 4.9, I don't lose all my work or that everything is migrated properly. Any advice is appreciated.

    If you are already running 4.9 beta you shouldn't need to do any backing up just for that, though of course it's a good diea to do a periodic back-up on general principle.

    I am now upgraded to 4.9 general release and all is well. I even made a new folder in my main directory away from the "my documents" to put all my new saves (shapes, poses, etc) and it's working nicely.
