GenX2 - Which Products Do I Need?

I want to use a G2M shape on a G3M figure, but I'm a bit confused about which GenX2 products I need to accomplish this. I'm not bothered about using G1 or earlier shapes.

Would appreciate it if someone could let me know which one I need, or if I need to have them all installed to make it work.

You need all 3. The first link you posted is the GenX2 product itself, but it doesn't work with Genesis 2 or Genesis 3 unless you have the corresponding add-ons.

    Accurate but incomplete.

You need all for you purpose. GenX supports Genesis. G2 addon adds G2 support.

The kicker. You would expect the G3 addon would add G3 support, end of story. However, the G3 addon depends on the G2 addon to work. GenX has special internal clone shapes. While the G2 addon is a universal clone system supporting all of the figures GenX understands, the G3 clone only supports G2. GenX converts morphs to G2 and then G3 every time.

I also posted a quick tips in my Art Studio thread and a few people said they found it helpful. It's in my signature. Hope it helps.  :)

Great tips for GenX2. I have it bookmarked under "Daz Tutorials". :) Thank you!

@divamakeup  You're welcome. I did it for me, too. If I stop doing something for awhile, then I'm starting from scratch all over again. I needed the timesaver LOL.

Thanks for the answers everyone. I was hoping I wouldn't need all three, will put them on the list for now and hopefully pick them up at a low price in the future.

They might be on sale during the annual PA sale in september.
