Hi is it possible to cast shadows in Daz ?

    Yes.

    If you are using, say, a spotlight, select it and go to the Parameters Pane, then click on Shadow, then change the "Shadow Type" dropdown to "Raytraced (software only)".

    I found the shadow setting about three minutes after posting (typical init), I been trying it out.

    Subsurface scattering doesn't like shadow maps in 3Delight... so I have to use ray traced shadows in all my renders...

    By your renders, I can tell you're not new to 3D... they look great.

    I mainly use Bryce for my artwork, its only recently that I have started to use Daz for full pictures.
    I love some of the textures and maps that are available, plus now I am loving the shadows.
