I have managed to download and installed the free Blacksmith3D program and used the key to unlock it from demo to full usage.  However, after closing it and want to reopen it there is no shortcut icon on desktop and it also don't appear anywhere under my installed programs.

To use it I have to run the .exe each time.  Is this normal?  For instance, if there is no folders where will you find your saved work?

Strangely though, when I run the .exe again it do open in full version which mean the computer has it somewhere installed since it remember demo has changed.  I had done a complete search also but it only directs me to the original rar but no installation files.

Copy the whole folder from the zip, and place it somewhere; on the C drive, or within the correct folder Program Files / Program Files (x86).

I have the pro version which I copied to the C drive as texture transformer (iirc, but I could be mistaking something) works better on the base C.

Thank you for this tip - it never crossed my mind that I can do it this way.  Or I can extract the .exe to its own folder perhaps?

You can but they need the support files that came with them; create a link to the desktop (or wherever you want it). I'm presuming you know how to create a link, but just in case: right click (on .exe), select create shortcut, then drag the shortcut where you want it - or copy and paste it to as many places as you need.

After you copy the BlackSmith3D folder where you want it, navigate to the BlackSmith3D.exe file in Explorer, right click to bring up Explorer options, create shortcut, & then cut & paste that shortcut onto your QuickStart, Desktop, or in the Windows Program Menu itself & rename the shortcut to what you like.
