Something I've noticed on two very recent releases involving Aiko 5 are Neko ears on the promoted characters as displayed in the following:

I haven't been reading the ReadMe's lately and can't be bothered looking through the list of constantly updating products. But are these items that are about to be released or something? Because I've actually been NEEDING a good set of Neko accessories lately!

Those are ears from Tandy Hair

They are a separate figure so you can use them with different hair.
There are also (separate) geografted cat ears from here

Oh... Gen 4... :blank:
Yeah, unless those things are getting a Genesis update, I may have to settle for the latter...
I use Gen 4 staff with Genesis all the time. Just a bit of scale and reposition. Or you can refit them with Autofit, using hair->short hair option, like it was probably done on those promotion images you'd referenced at the beginning of the thread.
Another set of ears is here.

That's just it, I don't want to deal with all of that, ESPECIALLY with Autofit and all of it's mesh-smearing frustration. I don't mind parenting and scaling as much, but sometimes it's rather difficult to deal with, especially if your working with stylized head shapes composed from various character morphs.
It's much more optimum to stick with Genesis products only if you can, which is why I'm hoping these latest promos of A5 wearing those ears is to reveal an updated version.
Well, I just looked into Tandy hair and ears are actually props, not figures, so scaling and positioning does work quite well, even with Jasmin who has the biggest distorted head in my library. Ears have adjustment morphs after all.
Ahh! Good! That actually works better for me!
That's the one thing I admit I still tolerate with previous generation content, Props are figure neutral! :)
Well, I hope it will work for you :)
