No coorasponding merchant posts about new products??

What is going on with the merchants lately. There are like 3 new pages of products, all of them really nice but I don't see most of the merchants making threads here in the forums.

Saw nothing on the Geisha for A5, Princess Asia, Yuriko Hair on up to the current batch.

I don't really buy allot of clothing for the Genesis female shapes but those too have MIA threads to talk about the outfits.

I understand being busy and all but it's good to promote your products, right?? Or is this a new trend to not bother with the forums? Doesn't exactly make things lively here.

Just sayin'!

Possibly because people are not responding to the threads that have been posted

And if you do, you get the Negative Nancies. There's constructive criticism, and then there's complaining about features it's not reasonable to add.

To note to Cho's post. I didn't see this thread since it wasn't posted to the Merchants thread that I could see so it landed to another page in the Commons and I didn't see it in time.

True about the NN's but we all have nice protective shells built up these days about folks that go out of their way to be overly critical. I tell folks "if you can do it better then shut up and do it or be quiet"

The commons is flooded with other topics and the DAZ PA Commercial Products forum is a bit of a mess that doesn't seem to consistently feature new products or product previews, so there's little incentive to check it out.

And that's the best way for a Published Artist to suddenly lose a lot of customers. It's very unproffessional, and that's also usually the reason most PA's stay out of threads whose whole purpose seems to be nothing but complaints.

Agree except for the last part. Sheesh. THAT's unprofessional and is also a way to lose customers. If a vendor doesn't show up we begin to think the vendor doesn't care enough about his own product to see how it's received or whether it's working as expected, and may suspect the vendor just thinks of customers as whiners.

I don't think Val was referring to legitimate complaints, but rather threads which go on and on about minor details or simply dislike the product for whatever reason. It's hard to respond to those sorts of threads without further inflaming the situation, or making yourself a bigger target. Most PA's do seem to be fairly quick to respond when there's a genuine issue, which is always a very welcome comfort.

Well for March Madness we cannot start threads on products released for it but only apon release day. Most PA's that make threads have been working on MM items so as they appear in the store, you will see the threads pop up. After MM I'm sure things will go back to normal.

    Heh, on a side note-
On the first day of my last product: i believe sales actually out numbered the view count of its commons announcement post (at one point).

I know its march madness but that was still a bit of a shocker :P

The forums can be very encouraging or very discouraging where a commerical product is concerned, but for some weird reason, the forum reception and sales reception of a particular product tend to be rather inconsistant alot of the time.

A lot of the new products are also DAZ products so there is that.
