I'm not sure if anything has been mentioned about the highly annoying auto pose  feature in daz studio as seems to have been there  ever since I started using it, what I would like to know is there anyway to disable it, as it makes setting up poses  a nightmare as it's too easy to accidently set it off and mangle the pose you were working on..and although you can just click undo it takes 3 tiimes as long if you are working on somthing complex.. many thanks for any help given

  • I'm not sure what you mean - Inverse Kinematics?

when you click on say the arm for example  if you happen to move the mouse across the arm it will autopose it in the direction you moved the mouse the problem is it's far too easy to do it by accident and your consently clicking on undo, this happens with any part of the body

  • Yes, Invrse (or Forward) Kinematics. You could use the Rotate tool, which won't drag parts (but then of course you'd have to switch to translate to move things around the scene).

  • In fact there is, I had to check. Right-click on the figure with the Universal tool and you should see a (checked) Enable IK option - click to turn it off. It also has a default shortcut, ctrl/cmd k. That does do what yiou want.

You can also use Tools>Node Selection. This won't move anything.
