Prop scaling for DS?

Hi,

I'd like to make props in a 3rd party program (blender) for use in DS, but am unsure about the way to scale them so that they "fit/work" in DS. Sorry if this has already been covered here, but my searches on this forum produced no results. My next hurtle will be learning how to package the files of what I make to work in DS.

Thanks,
Rob

According to the Studio import interface 1 unit is 50cm in Blender and 1cm in Studio. In theory you can build it in blender using its units then studio will convert it to "fit" in studio. Of course that is only ever theory for me because things always end up needing tweaking scale wise once I get them in studio.

If it is a simple prop your going to save it from file at the top/save as/support asset/figure prop assets. That will generate the data information for your prop. Be sure to keep track what you call the data file if your going to be packaging your prop later.

If you want a quick measuring stick, create a new primitive like a cube or a plane in DAZ Studio. You can enter the size in meters or other units.

The Blender scale is wrong. One Blender Unit = 1 meter or 100 centimeters. So Scale should 10000%, Vertical should be set to Z axis and Invert Positive Direction box should be checked.
