Hi Gang:
Fastbike and Kaosbliss have given me some good insight, but I want to find out something. If I use more than one model and more scenery etc it will take forever to render it in Iray correct? this is why I think I tend to jump and using Basic or Intermediate OPL. If I use Iray will it make my women MORE REALISTIC, or do I have to have specific settings in order to get the "photograph" effect.? If anyone has a standard formula for rendering a good model please pass some pointers along so I can try these out, also if you have the names of any tutorial video products by daz that would bring up my game I would be very grateful. Cheers and thanks.

Do you think they look more realistic? Look at the attached, then feel free to look in my gallery. Most images are simple photoshoot style.

The one thing you seem to be learning is that the more you have in your scene, the longer it takes to render. the density of the mesh, the lighting, the surfaces, the texture sizes, all these will affect render times and what your PC came handle. IRAY will give you the most realistic looking render out of the box. With lots of skill you can get any renderer to look realistic, but that will take lots of time and practice.
For any scene, depending on your renderer the lighting and the materials will make the biggest difference in how "realistic" your scene looks. try posting an image of what you are working on and we can provide more info on what we think you can do to improve on it
This is a good skin shader preset for making your women more realistic. https://www.daz3d.com/n-g-s-anagenessis-for-genesis-3
Lighting is everything but has to be adjusted for your image. Since you seem to be focused on people swimming outdoors, I would probably try to use a single outdoors HDR. Depending on perspective, could also get away with a mesh light over the pool to simulate diffuse skylight.
Since you do not ever respond everyone still has no idea what your images actually look like and will never be able to offer help specific to your situation.
