Collision with more than one object

edited December 1969 in Daz Studio Discussion

Hi I frequently use the set smoothing parameter to stop poke-through on clothes but is there a way to get an item to collide with more than one thing.

For example a skirt collides with the object wearing it but also the floor/chair it is touching too?

I've seen a suggestion on how to do this but lost both the thread and the plot when I tied doing it from memory! I seem to recall it involving exporting the item then bringing it back in. Hopefully someone who actually has a clue will respond!

I have exported the figure and clothing as an OBJ before and then loaded the OBJ back in to the scene and set the collison to a chair but I had to copy the surfaces from the original to the OBJ. Then I used that complete OBJ to collidoe with the chair. However this depends on how the clothing is made and how much pokethrough there is without the Smoothing and Collison mod engaged as the resulting OBJ will have this pokethrough as the Smoothing and Collision mod isn't translated to the OBJ. I haven't done it in the latest build of Daz Studio but it was that way a few releases ago. Hiding the bodyparts the are covered in clothing or that are poking through is the best options when exporting as OBJ to aviod this issue.

Sure would be nice... when I made the Belle Dress I got heartburn over how to make the shoulder wrap... and it still doesn't work all that well... :(
