worldbase-Xtreme-kit help request

I'm having trouble using the worldbase-Xtreme-kit.  It is my first time using it.  I selected/applied the prop, then I went into materials and selected a desert sunset scene (with the prop selected).  It looks really great in the viewport.  However, when I either spot render or full render, all I get is a black render with two yellow dots (my character has emissive eyes).

I thought maybe I needed to use the included lights, so picked one of them and applied it.  That made no difference.

Next I played with tone mapping, and that too made no difference.

I also applied one of the included cameras in case the product requires you to use it, and that also made no difference.

If anyone has any ideas about what I'm doing wrong, please let me know.

Thanks!

are you trying to render it in iray? it is setup for ds 3delight or poser firefly. for iray, you'll havee to make quite some adjustments....

    Ah, yeah.  Oops.

I just changed it to 3delight and started a render.  Now it is almost all black.  I can just barely see the character and the background.  This is also my first time using 3delight so I havent touched the render settings.  I did add "5 - Daylight" -- however it made no difference.

I have the set, but can't check now. (render system is busy... and probably will be for quite a few hours still....)

Ok no worries.  I'll select another background or environment :)

I'm actually doing a render with his Iray wold xtreme right now lol.

I loaded up my beta version and pulled one up though and it seems to be working fine. So somewhere, something is wrong in your settings.

Try setting the gamma to on and put it at 2.2.

It looks awesome in the viewport lol.  Are you using 3delight?  I didn't touch any settings other than change it to 3d.

It may be time to call it a day because I'm not getting the results I want with other backgrounds/environments as well at the moment.  I'll probably need to figure it out tomorrow with fresh eyes and renewed patience!

Yes, I did it in 3Delight, using the beta version as my pro version is in the middle of a render. This was pretty dark until I changed the gamma settings.  This is with it set to 2.20.  No other changes at all, straight, default 3Delight render. On the original the whole foreground was almost completely black and very hard to see.
