Non-Genesis Morphs

I'm using the latest DS4.5 but I'm making morphs for Vicki 4.2 due to her continuing popularity.
I am using d-formers and they work well, but the morphs don't save. Actually, ONE morph saves and that is for the hip. The other morphs, mouth, lthigh and rthigh don't save.
All of the discussion and tutorials I find are for Genesis, but DS doesn't allow me to use any of those operations on this legacy figure.
Sorry if I am asking a question already answered, but I can't find any non-Genesis discussions or tutorials on the subject.

How are you saving the morphs?
Using Dform > Spawn Morph with Create Root Control Parameter turned on.
That creates the morph, but it doesn't save it - what do you do next?
I save the scene. What *should* I do next? DS4.5 does not seem to like my trying to save a figure. It says I have to have a weight-mapped figure which V4.2 is not.
Saving the scene should be enough, but in at least some cases it isn't. One option is to make sure everything else in the scene is hidden, that V4 is zeroed and has only the new morph set, and to export as OBJ so that you can at least reload using Morph Loader Pro (or save a DForm preset so you can redo the morph using that). A better, though fiddlier, option is to use ExP Exporter to save your morph so that it can be loaded with Victoria 4.
I'll follow your instructions to the T.
Actually was dealing with this today, and can't find the ExP exporter, where is it found? I want to save the morph.
There was a free tool for DS3, that let you spawn a morph and convert it to a channel, and then save with an INJ file, so it can be applied to any character.
I really need that ability...
The ExP Exporter is in teh Scene pane's option menu, in the Assets sub-menu
Well, I tried that, 3 times, different ways. i can't find a way to make it work... :(
If you spawn morph and then delete the d-form on V4, it stops working. o_O Time for bug report.
Actually that always happened to me, in DS4 and DS3A as well....
I just thought it was supposed to do that...
but in DS3 had the workaround of having the free morph to inj thing... wish i could remember what it was called or where it was... it was invaluable.
totally wish I had it :(
