M8 Wearing M3 Clothes...

One of the features touted by DAZ for the generation 8 models is that they can easily use clothing from previous generations.  They mentioned everything going back to M4, but what about M3?  I have a lot of M3 clothing and other items I would love to use with newer generation figures.  Does M8's "backwards compatibility" include M3 items?

    Not yet - there may be a vendor product in the future to add 3rd generation clones.

    I thought  M8 only went back to Genesis (not M4)...

    I just assumed that it was compatible back to M4 since they were offering the M4 bundle for free.  I also could have sworn I read somewhere it had M4 backwards compatibility. If it doesn't, the figure is a waste of my time.

    Surely you didn't expect M8/G8M to be different from V8/G8F w/ regard to compatibility. You will also note that they state "most backward compatibility ever". That's a relative statement and they are clear about exactly what they mean yet people continue to ignore the reality for their wishes.

    Nevertheless, V3 clothing can be used on V8 with the method from Sickleyield's video, so it is reasonable to believe that the same will work for M3/M8.

    There's clones to go from M3 to Genesis1, so couldn't you do it in a 2 step process?  From M3 to Genesis1, then from Genesis1 to M8?

    There are generation 3 clones for Genesis 3 too, so M3 to G3M then G3M to G8M is also a possibility.
