Is there a reason there are two products for Morningstar Wings? I can't tell any difference from the promos. I would think wings would work with just about any character, as they only join up at one part of the body, which shouldn't be that different beween G3F/G8F and G3M/G8M. I have the female version, which is very good. Not sure I need the male one?

Also curious about that.
Just tried the female version of the Morningstar Wings with the G8 starter essentials. They auto-fitted in the right area but none of the posing/shaping morphs transferred over. I just did an autofit out of curiousity. I did not try any sort of morph transfer.
You could try paranting to the figure like a prop, the morphs should work then
I will try that and render as soon as my first G8M test render is done cooking. I guess I'm surprised that the original wasn't simply updated to work with G3M and G8M. Maybe there are some different features I'm not aware of, but I'm not seeing any.
From the looks of them, they *look* like they may be morphed rather than rigged. i.e., The poses are built in as different morphs of the figure rather than controled by bones. Morphs don't always transfer between generations without jumping through a lot of hoops. (Think of expression morphs.)
Parenting them to the chest of a different generation figure ought not to give ny difficulties, although you will need to tweak the positioning when you pose the figure.
The female version is rigged, I would assume the male is, though not as comprehensively as some other wing sets - still, I think what you see in the promo images is doen with bones for the most part.
I parented to the chest here. These are the female wings, and they work just fine. I think G8M is a hottie!
