Now I Get it (Pt.6)

I just learned something else very important.
you're in Hexagon, you've just created something, applied the textures and the whole bit. And saved it, then exported as an obj in Hexagon. Re-opened the obj in Hexagon and sent that to Daz. Once you send the obj to Daz RE-APPLY YOUR TEXTURES from your library in Daz. Because when you send the obj from Hexagon, it goes with a temporary roaming file in the Hexbridge. And if you happen to do a basic clean up on your C drive you WILL LOSE ALL that work!!! And if you lose the temporary roaming files, then try to reply the textures (in Daz) it will go all whompus.
I just learned this...
So I am having to go back and re-work everything I created, but it turned out for the better as I've learned a little bit more to make it better.
Which I think this explains the trouble I was having before, where I created something -sent to Daz, etc. Then later decided to put a different texture, that might look a little better then Daz gets all freaked out, because of the temporary roaming files.

You can also do the reassignment in Hexagon first.

Save your materials into the Daz Runtime (location of choice)
Open the Materials window and find the mat definition you desire.
Open and select the texture and browse to the runtime location.
Add it there and then save.

The following post also discusses this a bit.

Yeah, I just learned that also. I made a footstool and had to re-apply the leather texture on the obj before sending it to Daz, same thing with a newspaper.
