What has happened to the Genesis 8 male content?

I remember asking a similar question when Genesis 1 was first released, and being told by a PA to be patient. As history has shown since, male content has continued to be in short supply. This is a tired discussion, which is not the purpose of why I felt compelled to write this post, but I couldn't help noticing:
Tuesday 22nd The long awaited release of Genesis 8 Male with great content (IMHO) and price deals.
Wednesday 23rd More G8 Male content.
Thursday 24th Genesis 8 Female is back! 
(already? and it's only day 3 from G8M launch) being advertised as 'The perfect couple'. So of the 10 new releases G8M content drops to 6 items.
Today Friday 25th It's a Genesis 8 Male and GENESIS 8 FEMALE weekend (yep, she's fully back) and of the 12 new releases ONLY 3 are for the new G8 male.
I appreciate that probably only a handful of PA's got G8M for the initial promotion, and others will have to buy him to start making content, but was all this wait for his arrival exhausted in just 2 days?
As I noted earlier, I do not wan't to dig up all the old comments of "Female stuff sells more" etc or have this thread turn into that senario, but it was the fact that I was disappointed today to see so little new G8M content again.

Keep in mind, PAs have had the female to work with longer, so products have been in process. It always takes longer for the male stuff to come out as PAs may still be finishing up or have female clothing and products or that may be in the queue for release.

I fully understand what you are saying, and I guess Daz has a lot of Genesis 8 female content that needs to somehow be pushed out even during a new Male promotion.
I'm obviously delighted so far with what the PA's have produced and released for G8M and my spending has reflected that, but I somehow felt the tide of Genesis 8 female content flooded the shop from day 1 onwards. Maybe, that's just how it seemed at the time, and it doesn't seem the same to me for the G8M release. However, if only a few PA's are engaged in male content creation, then I guess a wait is understandable and inevitable.

Also keep in mind that the release was releases way sooner than previous generations; but that wasn't going to move up PA production as the female products and other projects were going to take priority over that, for the obvious reasons you hinted on but don't want to discuss in this thread. I would be patient and wait as the lower quantity of male items may be more obvious this time around.
Well, you can fit all your old cloths (G1-G3) onto G8. That's what makes G8 different than older generations. The problem for me is poses and smart props. Guns and swords, I can fit myself without too much problem, but' it's still an incovienance. I was able to fit some M4 stuff on G8 male, but I had to fit it to the G1 male 1st and then fit to G8 Male. It crashed Daz a few times before I was able to save it. I'm sure there is a better way, but I'm a noob.

Thanks for your comment. I have a wealth of your products in my runtime and value your reasons advising me to be patient and wait. We seem to have got Genesis 8 Male much sooner than expected, and I am happy about that, so don't want my disappointment about quantity of content to overshadow that fact. Will re-assess the situation in a few months time. As tkdrobert correctly points out in the above post there is a lot of previous male generation clothing that will fit.

I actually thought the amount of G8M content on launch day was pretty good. It took me a couple of days to sort through what to get and what to wishlist. I'm also thrilled to see the G8 couple stuff coming out, as I do a book covers and promos with males and females on them. So far I haven't had much trouble putting older male clothing (which I have a ton of) on the new guy, and I'll be thrilled with whatever new stuff we get.
I seem to recall that when M7 was released it was only 3 days or so before content was back to "business as normal", ie around 75% female content. I also remember some Gen 7 male figures (not M7) being released with mostly female content as their "additional release" content that normal gets put out in addition to the stuff in the pro pack, so compared to that, 3 days of mostly male content is not too bad. Given that G8M has arrived much earlier in the cycle that G3M did, it will avoid the long "drought" we had of male content during the 6 months or so between the appearence of V7 and M7.

I was actually surprised and impressed that the day after release, the new items were still about M8/G8M. As for the new releases following the release of V8, I would like to point out there was a surprising number of G3F products. Still are, in fact. I'm hoping the trend continues. As I've said elsewhere, I'm throwing my support behind vendors that support both generations.
