Just purchased Octane Render for DS. I have been a user of Octane Render for Carrara for some time. I have no issues running the OR4C software using my Titan Black gpus. However for some reason it returns an error in DS. What's going on here? Does anyone have any experience with this issue or any ideas? I have already checked online that my drivers are up to date. Any ideas anyone. Thanks in advance for your help. I;ve also requested assistance from the OTOy site in hopes of a quick resolution. Thanks again for your time.

Which version of the octane plugin is it?
The latest version. I think the issue is with Cuda 8. I can run Octane 3.04 with no issue uit it seems that 3.06 updated to Cuda 8. I'm trying to find out if titan blacks are incompatible with Cuda 8. Very frustrating. Nice M8 render btw!!
That's strange. Have you seen anyone else have the same issue on the otoy forums? Also thank you! :)
I've checked for other users with this issue. No one else seems to be having the problems I'm having. So I tried to download the Cuda 8 Toolkit in hoipes that this would enable me to use Cuda 8. But then it returned an error saying that cuda 8 was not compatible with my version of windows which is 7 Enterprise.
Am I seriously to believe that cuda 8 will not operate on anything older than Windows 10? I seriously HATE windows 10. I have absolutely no desire to upgrade my windows version. I assume you are yourself running windows 10? Thanks for your help, Sorel!
I got the toolkit to install. But so far no luck activating the gpu in 3.06+. Argh!
Yes I am running WIndows 10 currently.
Im convinced it mus be a driver issue. Im forcibly installing the newest driver in hopes of finally solivng the issue. I'll report back hopefully with a render if things are going my way.
Got it solved. Driver issue.
Awesome! Glad you got it work. Enjoy! :D
Thanks. Are there any reliable converters out there for translating Octane Materials into Iray Materials?
mmm not that I know of. I just adjust everything myself lol
