Is there a way to use a movie as a background?

So what I'm trying to do is superimpose a rendered animation over a movie(similar to the attached pictured, but animated.) I was able to do it in Poser 5 back in the day. It works in Poser 11, though not as well. Is there a way to do it in DS? I can't find it by google, so I'm thinking it may not be possible.

My last resort would be render frames with alpha background and join them in a separate program.

Render as an image sequence, saving to PNG or Tiff, to get an alpha channel and you can then combine that with the other footage in your editor.

Ruphuss, it may be a while before I buy it. I'm going to wait and see if it goes on sale.
