genesis 8 female won't load, i keep getting a message that the .duf file doesn't exist. it does and it's right where it belongs. i'm also getting a message that i don't have a valid postgresql cms connection, i've checked the fire wall, ant-virus etc. everything seems fine. no other program is affected and genesis 8 male loads without issue. tech support can't seem to find the problem. has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it.

When you say "right where it belongs", where is that exactly?
it's where it's supposed to be, my computer just denies it's there. i downloaded daz onto my laptop and i'm having no issues. my laptop is the windows 10 upgrade, the pc is 7. when i change the compatibility settings on the laptop to win 7 i have the same problem. the computer sell i don't have a valid denies that the necessary file exists.
1) Just so you use the right terms and everyone understands, Daz is the company, so I am guessing you are working with Daz Studio.
2) Do you use DIM to download and install? This is probably the easiest way to ensure you have everything where it should be, especially if you're new.
3) What version of Studio are you using? It sounds like you are trying to use DIM.
Studio should work on either windows 7 or 10.
If you can explain what you used or how you installed please.
The exact path please, "where it is suppose to be" is meaningless for us.
i'm using studio 4.9 pro, i started with 4.5. i install all daz content with the install manager and most recently daz connect. my first g8f download came from daz connect, when that didn't work, i uninstalled and reinstalled it using the download manager. it still didn't work. the location of the content in question is C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library\People\Genesis 8 Female. when i try to load genesis 8 i receive a message that the file can't be found. if i go directly to the file and load it the program opens and i get a collection of stacked white boxes. since the initiation of daz connect, when i open studio i get a message that i don't have a valid postgresql cms connection. i've checked the fire wall, my internet connection etc. as recommended and the program has unfettered access. if i click okay, i get the sign in box, i sign in and until the g8 female every thing has worked without issue and downloads done through daz connect work without a hitch.
