Want to use Blender to model for Bryce

Since this mat be my first time to post, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place. But.... I'm looking for a good reference book for Blender(at Amazon) and found many! What are some good ones or a best one? or author/s?

I guess this is indeed not the best place, since we focus on Bryce. I know there is a very active Blender community: https://www.blender.org/community/. I think that the people there will be better equipped to help you with this question.

Nevertheless, perhaps one of our forum-members has a good answer too, so, who knows what will pop up.

There is a tutorial for using blender to model for DS, recently released to the store   https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/193711/released-blender-content-creation-for-daz-studio-commercial/p1

If that is a bit rich for you ,  there is a long running thread about blender in the Commons   https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/8736/who-said-blender-was-hard

If your new to Blender, I would start at the basic tuts at U tube. Some are not really that bad.....Blender Basics

  • Thank to all. I didn't find the Blender discusion when I was looking the other day. I want to use Blender for importing into Bryce. I use to use Amorphium for fine tuning something, and Blender looks to be maybe a good substitue. I kind of like the clay modeling at times. I dug around the net and found a lot of Blender info which is pretty darn good. Browser bookmark file groaning! But I'm olf and work better with print. I thank you for the links. Checking them out as I exit. Thanks again! Oh yeah... "mat" up there = "may" as if you hadn't already guessed. Winters coming on and I'm getting back into Bryce I hope. My old stuff and a couple of newer ones at http://incolor.inebraska.com/bschroed1/ ; . The last one in gal. 5 is still wip. First one on the list to get done.

  • I may be "olf" but really meant "old"

bschroed1_fdc83296c5   I still use Amorphium 3 for molding and creating morph targets.

  • I still use it as well but it's a bit of a hassle since I'm on a mac and need to reboot to the  windows partition to use A3. I like it for gently smashing something around to reshape a bit. I'm sure if I was a better modeler I might be able to get the thing right the first time. ;-)

  •  I don't think the link I put up there works. If you'd like, try this  incolor.inebraska.com/bschroed1/
