DS 4.8 public and DS 4.9 beta - content sharing?

Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - I couldn't find it through a forum search.

I have DS 4.8 installed.  I have a lot of content installed, both from Daz3D via DIM and from other sources via manual install.

I understand that I can install DS 4.9 beta alongside DS 4.8 public build.  If I do that, can I access the content already installed for 4.8 from the 4.9 beta, and if so how?  Or do I have to install it all again (using twice the disk space, which would be a show stopper).

Any advice will be appreciated.

Yes, you can use the same content, you will simply need to point your DS beta to your content directories if it doesn't find them directly.
