Using Garibaldi Express for games

Hello,
I wanted to use Garibaldi Express for my in-game characters in UDK, but I wondered since this is not a Daz original product whether or not the licensing permits me to do so, even if the author has given me permission. This is what the author has said:
I have no problem in you using 'Garibaldi Express' for any purpose you wish.
Although any pre-made content using 'Garibaldi Express' may have it's own licensing terms.
Maybe I'm a bit thick, but I don't quite understand what he meant by the second sentence. Can somebody clarify this for me? Does anybody know what these licensing terms are, and whether or not this means I can use the product in real-time game engines now he's given me permission?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

What he means is that any hair you make from scratch is completely your own and you can do with it what you wish. However, if you buy a Garibaldi hair product and just tweak it for example, then you will be subject to whatever license restrictions the original author places on the product.
I'm not sure, but I would assume that to use Girabaldi Express in a game engine, you need Girabaldi Express to plug into the game itself... and you'd need to talk to the producer about that...
Garibaldi uses the Ricurves feature of the Renderman engine. No geometry is created, it's just procedurals that are generated at render time. Native Garibaldi hair can only be used in Renderman compliant engines.
In order to use Garibaldi created hair in other engines, it has to be exported as an object file. If the only tools you used to create the hair are Garibaldi/DS and your own talent, then there is no licensing issue. If you used someone elses hair as a starting point, or someone elses shaders on your exported object, then you would be subject to whatever restrictions exist on those third party products.
Kinda what I suspected...
I was wondering if maybe Carrara 8 Pro (which I already have) would be better from creating custom hair for my purposes?
it's all a matter of pushing polygons :) Building hair is rewarding, but not easy.
You can certainly use the model room to build polygon hair but the Carrara strand hair will only work in Carrara and - as far as I know - can't be exported as an object.
Your best bet would be to ask about it in the Carrara forum - they will know for sure what can and can't be done regarding Carrara hair.
Does your game engine support the rendering of non-polygon objects, specifically splines?
