New Poserworld Community

I got an email regarding a new Poserworld community that is starting so thought I'd share this as another resource.

While Daz Studio and Poser are there and Carrara is not, if the idea is to build up CarraraCafe as the Carrara destination, not sure if there is value in asking them to create a Carrara category. On the other hand this can build more awareness and exposure for Carrara but having Carrara communities fragmented all over the place may not be all that useful. What do you guys think?

I don't think it's worthwhile to add a Carrara category to every Poser site. If anything that makes all the Posers think were are some sort of "other".... which is where we already are using separate bathrooms and separate water fountains - even here on our own turf with some moderators being less than supportive, and actually ADVOCATING the "otherness" label.

In my opinion - and it's just an opinion, I have no "proof" - we should stop trying to chase the Posers and instead focus on showing what Carrara CAN do that Poser cannot. Besides it is better to actually ENJOY Carrara's wealth of features than to constantly complain about 3rd-class treatment.

If I were a Poser I would see no compelling reason to use Carrara if I thought it can do 95% of what Poser can do.... I would be more likely to switch once I believed that Poser can only do 10% of what Carrara can do...

Looks cool. I don't really have enough time in the day for another 'regular' forum visit - but they certainly have a nice setup. It will be interesting to see how active it gets. All forums have to start somewhere, right?
We have our ups and downs here, but overall, here's where the official Daz news trickles down, making this my forum of choice.

When I was a Poser, I couldn't wait to become a Carraraist! :-)
Now that I am one, I've never been happier.
