Genesis 8 male cloning? How do you do it??

Okay DAZ .. you made a big deal out of Genesis 8 being backward compatible .. so far none of of previous generation stuff works for Gen 8 .. so how the f**k does cloning work? There's no 'Clone' to load, there's no apparent 'clone' option. So help me out here. There is zero direction on how to use the cloning feature.

    G8 has been a bit of a fizzer all round Scott. I hope G8 wasn't the fantastic exciting new Daz thing we were promised was coming out in the last half of this year. I really hope not.

    Well .. I mean it's nice enough  I guess .. wasn't super impressed with Michael 8's face out of the box, but it's nice to have some new characters. I pretty much turn them instantly into sexy demon boys for my comics .. and that's the point .. I was under the impression I'd be able to use all of the body, head, ear, teeth and everything else morphs that I have for all other Genesis models. I use Gen X to move the HFS demonics body morph from Genesis 1 to 2 and 3 .. with varying results .. so this is a bit of a shame that the 'MOST BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE' model is ... not! At least at first blush!

    I saw on another post that the 'clone' feature seems to be in the hidden settings  so change the genesis shape to 1 2 or 3 .. is that it? .. THAT'S the cloning? .. Doesn't help me get the body morphs to work .. just means clothing and genitals will fit better .. which is something .. but WHY is this hidden?!? It's a primary selling point and it's buried?

    Genesis 8 can use textrus from Genesis 3 of the same sex, if they are for the default UV set (as most are). Clothes from previous Genesis geenrations, and the opposite sex Genesis 8, can be AutoFitted to Genesis 8 - previous gernations could AutoFit only the current geenration of the opposite sex and the previous geenration of the saem sex without add-ons, and Genessi 3 could not use older textures without an add-on, so that is the basis for saying that backward compatibility is improved.

    Morphs are by their very nature mesh specific.  G8M has clones for all previous Genesis bases.

    You do not need to load any clones, they are just there to help you fit clothing designed for older versions of Genesis onto Genesis 8

    So far I've had the G3M and G2M outfits (haven't tried anything older yet) I've tried fit pretty well actually o.O. So, I don't understand exactly what your problem might be.

    Morphs .. I was hoping to be able to use use the body morphs I have for previous Genesis models. Totally can't. Yeah it's kinda nice one can use onld clothes, hair etc. But I was REALLY hoping I could use old morphs.

    You can use old morphs, but it's not a simple process by any means, and you can't make use of the HD aspect of any of your old morphs. This thread deals with how to transfer morphs. Not simple, but doable.
