Help with toes, shoes and custom mophs, please!!
I had some success rigging v4 heels to genesis avoiding all distortion, the next step was to do custom morph for my favorite shapes. Here I find a big problem, I use hexagon to create the object for the custom morph, this match perfectly with the shape in genesis, but when I use it with morph loader, the result doesn't mach with toes.
The process:
1.- Fit shoes to v4.
2.- Pose v4 to match approximately to genesis feet. Pose genesis feet and toes to match the slope of the heels.
3.- Send to Hexagon shoes and genesis.
4.- Scale, translate and rotate shoes until this match with genesis feet. I transform the complete mesh in axis Y and Z, totally avoid transform subset of facets, edges or points. For axis X, use symmetry.
5.- Send transformed shoes to as a prop.
6.- Use transfer utility to rig in genesis.
7.- A little of smooth
8.- Save shoes as figure/prop asset. Save feet pose from genesis.
All Ok, rig is successful (image 1)
But autogenerated morph + smooth only works well for boots with squared tip toes or big space to contain feet, even here, distortions is present. My favorite shapes have complex change in feet: Nata, chibigirl, stalker girl, even aiko3 and hitomi. So, I decide work in custom morph for shoes
The process:
1.- Load Genesis. Load converted shoes without fit to genesis
2.- Set the shape (in next images chibigirl). Scale to 100% if it is needed.
3.- Send genesis shaped and shoes to hexagon.
4.- Scale, translate and rotate shoes until this match with genesis shaped feet (image 2)
5.- Send to as a prop the transformed shoes. This match with genesis shaped, like in hexagon (image 3)
6.- In DS export shoes as object named FMB (xxxx is the name of shape)
7.- Use Morph Loader Pro, loadin FBMxxxx.object and select deltas only.
8.- Fit shoes to genesis shaped....and shoes doesn't fit to toes, it go out the shoes or sink in the sole. (image 4 chibigirl, image 5 Nata)
If somebody have an idea about thing that I am doing wrong, please tell me.

A problem apart are the JCM in feet
First is autofit from original shoes.
Second is fit from converted to genesis shoes with default automorph for mavka. Additional JCM for Mavka feet cause distortion in shoes. It is ease to remove, apparently. Set all JCM to 0.0% improve shoes, third image.
But, If I set to zero mavka shape all JCM change to -xx, where xx is a positive original valor of JCM when mavka shape was applied.
Some advice about to avoid shoes get JCM from shape?
Well im not 100% sure, as Ive never modled heels for Genesis in the heels foot pose, - I always made the the heels for the default foot pose, then rely on them to take the correct shape when posed afterwards - so i dont know how well it work this way around, I guess its possible as I think other have done it, so maybe some one else can advise.
Other than that, it looks like your process is pretty good.
I can suggest that you should avoid using templates in the Transfer Untility (if you are using them) since they tend to throw shoes out of place slightly (that could even be your problem)
Also in morph loader pro, when loading a Custom morph you should use 'overwrite ERC & Deltas' not 'Deltas Only'
Hope this helps.
Jim Burton had a tutorial on making heels in the old forum. Search the old forum archive or try PM's Jim. One of the apps he used was MT Mirror. It's an excellent app.
You can download it from this page

That looks like a scaling issue to me, but you said you rescaled Genesis to 100% with V5 dialed in before export, right?
I will search for this, thanks!

Oh sure, get my hopes up. :D
MTMirror and other tools shown are for use with .cr2s. You can do zilch with them for Genesis. Right now I'd give my right arm (or a hundred bucks, preferably) for a .duf-functional version of something like Dimension3d's Content Mirror.
Thanks Dogz. I follow niccipb tutorial for rigging shoes, she/he use heels foot pose, the results with genesis is all Ok, but custom morph not. Without templates works worst. 'overwrite ERC & Deltas' should be the solution, but no, the same problem. At least shoes without fit works with the last, but if they are fitted to genesis a rotation in axis X is applied. Feet and toes nodes are altered.
In first image genesis with chibigirl morphs, it shows the difference between shoes fitted to genesis (dark shoes) and shoes non fitted to genesis (light shoes) with chibigirl morph applied.
In second and third image each case with nodes visible. The differences in nodes is notorious.
I applied chibigirl shape, it reduce genesis to 60%. Before export, I set 100% and work with this. I don't know if scaling is the base problem, but scaling make this more notorius.

Yes, cr2s :(
D3D have some tools for poser very needed for duf version.
May this solve the problem?: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/viewreply/254575/ , I'm not complete sure, I have some problems with translation from english to spanish (or intermediate state where I begin to understand english) and few time to think it.
Worth a try. I'm saving it for future reference either way,it's a good method for what it does.
