A suggestion. Change your thread title. hairstyle as worn by and a few names, mean much more to people than pompadour, I had to look that up as to me , when I think of pompadour, I am looking at the 18th century.
The Business Hair and Executive Hair are on deep discount at Rendo right now and might suit your needs. Otherwise perhaps OOT's recent Ryan Hair or Neftis3D's Pompadour Trend Hair?
I have those, Redz. I was hoping for something... sleeker and looking like it has ...product in it. A Slight sheen.
Like Brylcreem.
Maybe I just need to fiddle with the morphs and shaders. :)
Executive Hair's suave style morph is slicker looking, and if you turn off limits on the 'upswept' morph and dial it to about negative 40%, that will flatten it even more. Then perhaps play with the glossiness/topcoat to get it wetter looking?
The Elvis look?
Less, Elvis, more Fred MacMurray. :)
What I would love to see, to be more specific, is hair is slicked back from the hairline. Some wave and body is great and the sides should be short BUT not sheared or shaved. There should be a GRADUAL increase in length as the hair gets closer to the top of the head.
Both hair masses move forward as opposed to the sleak look of the 50's hair. I looked at those plus the pompadour hair but... not loving it. Not as close to 1950's as I need. Redz rendo stuff is the closest. (Love you, Redz. Quality all the way! :) )
Do you have Timeless Male Hair for M4 or Genesis? Looks kinda in the ballpark

What About AprilSYH 's Jai hair or Reivel
Jai is earlier work of AprilYSH and they have come a long way since then. I have it but I longer bangs, just slicked back. Reivel I also own and, while EXTREMELY close, I really want all hair off the forehead and slicked back.
There is also Finlay Hair: https://www.daz3d.com/finlay-hair
Sometimes you can kitbash a bit (especially if the hairs come from the same vendor and use the same colours).
Sometimes hiding parts of a hair (through surface-tab opacity or geometry editor) helps to get the look you need.
Well, winner, winner, Chicken inner is Redz with Executive and Business Hair. They are a wonderfully versatile set both.
Here is the finished product
