Premier Artist Sale Broken?

So can someone tell me how the Premier Artist sale actually works?  It says: "Buy a new release to get 50% off" in the Premier Artist section.  Then, of course, there are two "markers" to further define this, which say below "Items must be in cart simultaneously for discount to apply" and "Discount excludes new releases and PC+ items".

OOOOkay, so I go to Stonemason (one of the "Premier Artists" that is listed right there) and put a new release of his ("Western streets") into my cart.  Now I *should* get 50% off, what?  Something else?  So I put an older item of his in there (not a PC+ item) and I still don't see any discount.  WTF?  I can understand not getting the 50% off the first one (because it's a new release, even though the wording of the sale seems to indicate it would be discounted) but the second one should be discounted, right?  (Actually, it should be discounted further because if you have TWO items then you get 60% discount).  This just doesn't appear to work (BTW, I AM PC+, but that doesn't seem to matter as nothing in Stonemason's catalog is).

Can someone give me a clue as to how this sale is supposed to work?

  • Ah, nevermind. I *think* I see what the dealio is -- it is very specific to the "new releases" of the OTHER artists, not the Premier ones below they are showing.  Very, very confusing.

  • Except -- rereading it it doesn't appear to be what they are saying.  Someone else take a look and see if I'm not crazy (the wording on that below sure seems to indicate I should be getting a discount even on Stonemason's stuff).

Just tested.   I oput one of the new releases into my cart and then got 50% off of the Stonemason item when I put it into the cart.
It needs one of the featured New releases in the cart.

    The wording says
