Best Way to Search the Daz3d Forum; Use Google!

Yep, leave the site, go to google, type Daz3d forum & add whatever you want to find  - it works much better than the forum search.

To make the best of both worlds, you can install a userscript from my site that changes the onsite search function to google. Whatever you type into the forum search will get redirected to google, and you don't need to open a separate window just to start google up. Small but very convenient change. It's the "Change forum search to google" script, link in my sig.

Cool! Will it work in Opera?

Userscript managers exist for opera, so it's best to just give it a try. Follow the instructions on my page.

...well it does if you are into compiling statistics of how many times an individual keyword shows up in different unrelated posts.

The best way would be to use the command "site:daz3d.com/forums", in this way you will only receive search results from the DAZ 3D forums.

Googhle search example: genesis 8 morphs site:daz3d.com/forums

See, this proves this is not something everybody knows about. I wonder how many sales Daz has missed out on because people give up using these broken, yes broken, forums to search for help or products. Plus ATI's nice script will not work on mobile. Daz needs to give up and add Google site search as the default search if they have no intention of upgrading the forum software. Its for everyone's benefit to do so.

Well, everyone who doesn't live here in China where google is blocked :p

(not that I'd object, since current site search doesn't help me either - I just use yahoo with the above site:daz3d.com/forums tag)
