Decimator for DAZ Studio - Does it work?

It says that DAZ Studio 4.9 is the compatible software.
But when I tried to install it in Studio 4.9.2.70, I got a message that I needed to install the latest version of Studio for it to work.
I was trying to install Decimator 1.7.2.70.
So, is this an updated Decimator that actually is compatible with all versions of DS 4.9, like the product page says?
Or is it the same old same old?
By the time I figured out that I wasn't going to get it to work, the 30 days had passed.
And no, I'm not installing the latest Studio Shiny. Tried the beta, 'nuff said.

I cannot get it to work on the beta either.

I use it in my old 4.7 but thats an old saved installer for that version, I presume like most plugins its been updated for the latest build, am annoyed so many cannot be installed to the beta that being one but not annoyed enough to abandon 4.7 for my main build simply because it does some things they broke later and are never going to go back to but still like the newer features found in the beta too.

I actually mostly use the beta though.

Just wish to have both.
