Am tempted to purchase some M4 items.
Would these work on M5/Genesis?

    That depends on the item.

Some, but not all, M4 clothing can be autofit to Genesis if you also purchase the required additional conversion products (verify this, but I believe I have "V3 and M3 shapes for Genesis" and that was all I needed to just allow autofit to work for those two figures to Genesis.) I haven't researched morphs yet. I can also use some M4 textures, although there is an extra step of selecting the UVs in the Surfaces tab; don't recall if this also required the above product or not.

Genesis has M4 and V4 UVS on the default.

Thanks, too bad, I was interested in quite a couple of M4 items but will not back down to using M4. Thanks!

M4 clothing will autofit without any additional purchase -- how well can vary. Shoes and long hanging sleeves or skirts can be difficult, and clothing that has some rigid pieces like armor sometimes needs work to keep the rigid parts from bending. Overall I've found it works pretty well.

Autofit works very well for most things as has been said.

The best thing to do, would be to tell us what items exactly that you want to buy, and I'm sure some of us will have them, and can show you how well Autofit works on them. As Mike says, there is no need to buy anthing else, it is all already there for you to use.

Thanks for the clarification, I was thinking of M3 instead of M4 for some reason.
