File thumbnails in the "File open" menu

edited September 2017 in Product Suggestions

Isin't it about time we had an embeded thumbnail in the files that we create in Daz showing up in the File/Open menu? Daz goes to great lengths to create an extra file *.duf.png that seems useless within the program, I have to swap out to Windows Explorer file manager to see these .duf.png files as icon images to know which file I want before going back into Daz's File/Open menu to select the one I want.

  • No, you don't. The scene files can be opened directly inside of DAZ Studio by viewing them in the content library pane under My Library -> Scenes.

  • The thumbnails aren't supposed to appear in the File>Open dialog, they're used in the Content Library and Smart Content tabs. It's possible to do all file saving and loading without touching Content Library or Smart Content, but it's clumsy, error-prone and not recommended. Is there any reason why you're doing it that way?
