Hello, v
So I'm trying to model a bunch of different shaped doors, but I'mnot really sure how to cut the shapes. I can cut a basic rectangle door but thats about it. I want arched doors, star doors, any weird door you can think o
I use Wings and Carrara, but I also have Hex and Sculptris.
Any help is appreciated.

Cut the shapes...? Not entirely sure where you're coming from here, so it's difficult to answer. For my part, I use 3D modeling software (largely 3DS Max) such as Blender or Hexagon. With those you can start with a simple primitive and then reshape it by moving its vertices, extruding parts and subdividing it. I could, for example, take a simple cube and turn it into an arched doorway. Or I could turn a cylinder into a vault door.
It all very much depends on your level of skill with the programs you're using and what you know how to do. I'm not terribly well versed in Hexagon, but I know enough to model reasonably complex shapes. What is your current skill level and what specific shape are you trying to get?
I'd say I'm still a bit novice. I can Wings the best, as it's easier to control. I'm trying to make rooms, so I've been trying to cut the shaped doorways into planes. So, for example, I cut out 2 faces to make a basic rectangular doorway, but I want the top rounded/urved like an arch.

How do i do it without itr lookingf like a pentgon or something?
If you're using rectangular shapes you likely won't have enough vertices to work with as they're only 4-sided objects. For something like an arch there are a lot of ways to go about it, but perhaps the easiest is to take your rectangle and combine it with cylinder. Squash the cylinder and your rectangular prism to the thickess you want the door to be and then split the cylinder in half. Place the halved cylinder atop the rectangle and there you go, one arched doorway. Fuse the vertices to make it into one seamless object.
For reference, here's a quick example I put together in about 5 minutes.
Okay, I got it. But how do I get the same shape in the wall where the door will be?
