Teens 5 in Poser

HI i was hoping i might do some textures for the teens 5 for genesis and i know alot of people complain about the Genesis figure in Poser. Ok I have Poser 9 so i can use genesis' functions but i usually export figures out of poser to texture in Deep Paint3d and i was wondering is it completely different from lets say exporting V4's materials and figure?

Also I was wondering how do i do this Genesis thing in Poser? Do i purchase genesis and then download daz3d studio, export from there and into Poser? Or do I need daz3d studio to do this? Can i simply install genesis directly into Poser 9?

I want to try the genesis figure cause it looks exciting and more realistic. I never really tried daz studio before and I usually work in Poser and render in 3ds max.

Sorry for all these questions. Im terrible i know :P But im wanting to create teen characters in the age range of 15-17 yrs old. Would the teens 5 be good for this or are their ages more like 12-14 yrs??

Thank you all who answer this thread, I really appreciate this :)

M

You will need to buy the DSON plugin. Download the plugin, the Genesis Starter Essentials and the Poser Companion files.

You must have the SR3.1 for Poser 9 installed before you install the DSON.

Install the DSON to the Poser app as you would any other Python script.

You can install the Genesis Starter Essentials and Poser Companion Files to an external runtime if you wish or to whatever runtime you choose.

If you do not have DS4 or 4.5 installed on your system, make sure when you install the Genesis Starter Essentials that you check to install the DS4.x files.

Be aware of the fact that Poser 9 is a 32 bit app and has the RAM limitations of 32 bit apps not matter how much RAM you have on your system.

Poser 9 is prone to library lock ups as a result of this. The library lock up usually comes when you apply the active morphs to the clothing.

Some users have found turning off hyperthreading in the prefs can help with lock up and others have found the use of external library apps like Shaderworks Library Manager from RDNA or one of Dimension 3D's apps from Rendo or CP can help.

I don't know if waiting it out works or not as my job doesn't give me the option.

They come with the DSON plugin.

    http://www.daz3d.com/dson-importer-for-poser

When you get it, there will be 3 parts to the download. The DSON importer plugin, the Genesis Starter Essentials and the Poser Companion Files.

You need to download all 3. Then just install the files as I posted above.
