Genesis 3 crashing Carrara

has anyone have any trouble with genesis 3 and up, making Carrara crash while trying to either open or importing a .duf?

I don't have a problem with genesis, or genesis 2 on opening or importing. I'm using Carrara 8.5 pro build 243 and 8.5.19....

Yep.. Carrara can't load 3 or up without crashing.. a known bug for years that Daz won't fix as they haven't the resources.

 

there are workarounds that you will find at Renderosity for the problem.

they could, if you read Misty's posts on Renderosity forum you will see what the issue is.

For some reason they chose not to and carried the error over to Genesis 8 throwing in a few more issues for good measure.
