Pleased to announce that from 1st April 2013, I've been selected to be the lead artist on the government's new HS3 transport project.
Unlike HS2 which involves trains and lots of people digging things up. The government have decided that a much cheaper and faster option is to use solar powered launchers. This means it's now possible to transport passengers from London to Edinburgh in under 3 minutes. Best of all its perfectly safe, with a less than 1 in 0.999.99.9.1 chance of accidents.
So here's some of the infographics I've created..

A very important project, and one deserving of your talents. Into the Future, and don't forget to duck.
Beautiful work, and congrats! Hope we can get that system here in the US.
As I sit watching Breakfast and the depressing news of the welfare reforms, bedroom tax, increasing council tax bills for the poor etc, none of which are unfortunately April Fools (politicians aside of course!), I can always rely on Mr Sparky to bounce along, wip away my tears, and make everything all right again :)
So thanks for that.
Speaking of April Fools, loving the one in the paper about NASA's project to capture an asteroid in a giant bag :D
Actually the BBC are now saying that the NASA story is actually genuine and not an April Fools!
I get so confused this time of year......
What we really need is one of these solar powered lauchers for is to take care of the random IRS agent...
Seems like a small step backwards from the cannon travel services I used to enjoy in my younger days but on the other hand, the catapult is a true classic. Has a bit of a vintage feel to it :D
However, being a government project, I do feel a bit conflicted about the possible military application. I mean, this will give them to ability to move troops over very far distances in the blink of an eye, not to mention the psychological effect of seeing an entire army, hurled at you through the sky.
Color me impressed!
...hmm, has this been cleared by the CAA yet?
...and shouldn't there be a side table for his cup of tea?
DARN IT, you are so right! The Civil Liberties implications are enormous! And my god, what about the Birds? PITA will be over the moon with new campaings about how humans are invading the natural habitat of birds!

Dr Stupid - Thanks chap! I was trying to make a working Cleggy Bobble Head, but all it would do was kiss a**e, contradict itself and kept trying to stab everyone in the back. Though the weasel morph was pretty accurate :)
Kyoto Kid - 1st class seats have a cup holder.
Barubary - Don't worry it's like any government project, it'll be on time, on budget, reliable, trustworthy and won't hurt a fly let alone any birds :)
Wancow - only affects South Korea :)
cridgit - both and the magnet stops the weight from sliding off and landing on someones foots. Thus making it even safer.
And for those who are wondering how long it takes to get from London to Edinburgh: 8 hours by bus and 4 hours by train. Source: personal experience; went up to the Edinburgh Festivals from London 2 years in a row ('95 & '96). Absolute awesomness although I saw Johnny Mnemonic at the Edinburgh Film Festival :-P I enjoyed trying haggis more :)
Excellent idea! Please sell it to the German government, so that we can get rid of Deutsche Bahn, which is a... - ok, let's stay civilized.
Congratulations on the new project, I am sure you'll do a fine job! One question does spring to mind, though - what with the possibility of Scotland seceeding from the 'union', what arrangements for passport checking will there be?
banditcameraman - With you there on the real travel times :(
Last few years I've been working up north a lot, Sussex to Liverpool/Blackpool on the coach can take over 16 hours!
Flying takes 3. Used the train twice and both times over 12 hours. Not much price difference twixt train/plane.
Best prices, flybe on a weekend, but a delay is a certainty.
polka dot- I thought German trains ran perfectly, or is that one of those urban myths?
Beautiful work, and congrats! Hope we can get that system here in the US.
We already do. It's called the New York Subway.:cheese:

Are passengers required to have a pilot's licence? Technically speaking they are flying.
And what about my luggage? I foresee quite a large 'Lost & Found' sevice will be needed.
They're ahead of you there - Loch Ness was excavated as a baggage catcher.
...lends a whole new twist to "The Flying Scotsman". :cheese:
But of course it's 99.999% safe — the last fraction of a % of course, being the stop at the other end...
We already do. It's called the New York Subway.:cheese:
~ROFLMAO~ The reason why I drove to work for 14 years. I HATE the New York Subway system. YUK!!
